Sclerotherapy - Spider Vein Treatment

Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to improve the cosmetic appearance of spider veins. It involves injecting a solution directly into the vein. The sclerotherapy solution causes the vein to scar, forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins. The collapsed vein is reabsorbed into local tissue and eventually fades. This is a autumn/winter treatment as the area needs to be kept out of the sun during recovery.

Good to know

Compression garments must be worn afterwards to aid the break down and reabsorption of the veins.

Please expect 8-12 weeks for full results and several sclerotherapy treatments may be needed to achieve the desired results.
